CALENDAR
THE CONTEXT
The Contest is one of the souls of NanoValbruna: the International Youth Forum for Regeneration.
A Festival, in its fifth edition, where young people, scientists, entrepreneurs, journalists, and visionaries from all over the world come together to face the environmental challenges of our time. A week of workshops, networking, and panels with many appointments not to be missed.
Fill in the form and register on the F6S platform: the call closes on 31 May 2024 at midnight.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The authors of the projects selected, based on the criteria indicated below, hereinafter called finalists, will have access to
- workshops, panels, and meetings with, where they can share and compare ideas and projects, in an innovative and stimulating context
- the Festival’s global network, with possible involvement in Italian and international initiatives;
- The final Presentation with the presentation of the pitch to the audience and the International Jury, composed of entrepreneurs, investors, and experts;
The selected projects will have the visibility guaranteed by the communication plans prepared for the festival.
The winner of the “BAITE Award” will receive a prize worth 3,000 euros.
STRUCTURE OF THE CONTEST
- The finalists are required to participate in the scheduled training course with workshops on: entrepreneurship and sources of funding, patents and innovation, public speaking, and science for a sustainable future.
- The pitch must be presented in English, in a maximum time of 3 minutes.
- The Jury will have 2 minutes to formulate follow-up questions.
- At the end, the jurors will write down their evaluations.
- The winner of the Contest will be declared during the festival’s final evening.
- All participants will receive a certificate of participation

SPEAKERS
SELECTION CRITERIA
The Contest is open to students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, both Italian and international, who can present themselves as individuals or in teams (max. two representatives per team). The innovative and sustainable projects selected must have a positive impact within the macro areas indicated in the acronym BAITE:
- Building (heating, cement and concrete, energy saving, etc.);
- Agroecology and Climate Tech (sustainable agriculture, bio-agriculture, biodynamics, carbon capture, utilisation, and storage, etc.);
- Industry and Social Responsibility (low CO2 emissions and waste production, resource efficiency, social inclusion, etc.);
- Transport (micro-mobility, batteries, fuels, sustainable tourism, etc.);
- Energy (energy conversion, renewable energy production and use, energy saving, etc.).
Projects are selected according to the following criteria
- Competence of the team and knowledge of the sector;
- Stage of product/service development;
- Creativity and innovativeness;
- Feasibility of the project;
- Competitive context and positioning;
- Responsiveness to and size of the market;
- Business potential of the idea;
- Completeness of the documentation submitted.
THE PITCH
The elevator pitch is the result of the training course and the heart of the Contest.
It is a short presentation in English that encapsulates the key elements of a business idea, designed to attract possible investors and promote your business initiative.
