After the success of the first edition and the program of the upcoming one, it is clear that NanoValbruna is a NanoGreen Festival which becomes a precious moment of exchange and knowledge transfer. Last year it hosted paramount personalities in Val Saisera. One of them who had an impact on a group of students in Friuli Venezia Giulia after NanoValbruna 2020 is Paksy Plackis-Cheng, founder of impactmania, an unique initiative which work was featured at the United Nations, US Consulates, and was awarded the US Embassy Public Diplomacy grant. After last year’s contribution, whose details can be found here, Paksy Plackis-Cheng is ready to head to the Festival in the mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Similarly to other experts, she will be there as well as a guest during Meeting with, the event on July 23rd which is dedicated to the young adults who could converse with specialists in multifarious fields.
As mentioned, impactmania creates global community programs and one of the mentorship programs created by Paksy Plackis-Cheng was introduced at Messaggero Veneto Scuola, where it was totally welcomed by the journalist Gabriella Scrufari and the youths of the editorial staff. A collaboration between impactmania and Messaggero Veneto Scuola was born and it built productive connections between the students of the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) and the ones of the newspaper of Friuli Venezia Giulia: here you can see the results of the project
Also present at NanoValbruna, some of the young adults of Messaggero Veneto will continue their work with Paksy thanks to interviews and conversations with the guests.
