By participating in the Contest, the Applicant acknowledges to have read and accepted the Regulation and to have fulfilled all the admissibility conditions described herein.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

1. Developer and organizer of the Initiative<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

“BAITE Award” (hereinafter “Contest”) is conceived and promoted by ReGeneration Hub Friuli, an association with registered office in Udine Via Slataper, 2\/A (hereinafter the ‘Organizer” or “Organization”).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

2. Recipients of the Contest<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

Given the nature of the Challenge, the Initiative is primarily aimed at students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, in pre-established teams (with presence reserved to only two team members) or as individuals, all over the age of 18 and referred to hereafter as “Participants.” The Contest is open to Participants of any nationality.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

3. Purpose<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

The aim is to identify innovative solutions that can have a positive impact within the following macro areas (so-called BAITE):<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n
    \n
  • Building<\/strong> (heating, concrete and cement, energy conservation, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Agroecology and Climate Tech<\/strong> (sustainable agriculture, bioagriculture, biodynamics, carbon capture utilization and storage, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Industry and Social Responsibility<\/strong> (low CO2 emissions and low waste generation, resource efficiency, social inclusion, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Transport<\/strong> (micromobility, batteries, fuels, sustainable tourism, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Energy<\/strong> (energy conversion, renewable energy production and use, energy conservation, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
    \n

    4. Conditions of participation<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
    \n

    The project submitted by Participants must meet a maximum TRL (Technological Maturity Level) 3<\/strong>, corresponding to “experimental proof of concept.” Applications that are incomplete, irregular or received after the deadline shall be rejected. The Organization reserves the right to verify their truthfulness by any means necessary. The Organization reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition due to exceptional and unforeseeable events beyond its control.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

    \n

    By registering to the Contest, the Participant explicitly accepts these Rules and Regulations. Any violation of the Rules and Regulations before or during the Contest implies the exclusion of the Participant from the Contest.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

    \n

    5. Rules of participation<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
    \n

    The Contest entry period opens on March 17th 2025 and closes on May 31st 2025 at midnight (with the possibility of postponement). <\/strong> The Contest will take place in the location of Valbruna (UD, Julian Alps, Italy) during the period from 17 to 23 July 2025. Applications can be submitted by students, researchers, aspiring entrepreneurs and contestants from past editions but not the winning start-up. Specifically:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

    \n
      \n
    • The selected and admitted candidates (\u201cParticipants\u201d) will receive confirmation of their admission to the Contest via email by 10 June, sent to the address provided in the application form.”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Compulsory participation in the training workshops arranged by the Organizer, which will be held from 17 to 23 July, is required. Failure to participate will result in exclusion from the Contest;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The workshops will be organized in English with the presence of translators for those in Italian;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The presentation of the project pitches will be in English;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The Applicants acknowledge that participation is free of charge and does not entitle them to receive any compensation, for any reason;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Applicants are aware that the information provided at registration must be true and that any decision made by the Organization shall be unconditionally accepted;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Expenses incurred for participation will not be reimbursed by the Organization under any circumstances, even in the case of exclusion after admission or in the case of withdrawal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Board and lodging expenses, during the above period, will be offered by the Organization according to arrangements that will be communicated to the Participants at the time of admission.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
      \n

      6. Evaluation of proposals<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
      \n

      The Proposals of the Applicants will be selected and subsequently evaluated by an interdisciplinary Jury composed of a Commission chosen by the Organization and consisting of experts in innovation, territorial development and stakeholders. The Jury will analyze and evaluate all Proposals submitted by Applicants according to the following evaluation criteria:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

      • Team skills and knowledge of the sector;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Product\/service development stage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Creativity and Innovativeness;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Feasibility of the project;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Competitive context and positioning;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Responsiveness to market needs and market size;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Business potential of the idea;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Completeness of the documentation submitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
        \n

        7. Awards<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
        \n

        Selected Applicants will be entitled to attend free of charge the program dedicated to them<\/strong> and consisting of training tracks, meetings and discussions with experts in the fields, and workshops related to personal growth and start-up development. The training workshops will focus mainly but not exclusively on the following topics: business modeling, start-ups from birth to growth, investor research and management, patenting, and public speaking.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

        \n

        The winning Participant(s) will receive \u20ac1,000 to be used to start the implementation of the startup project presented.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

        \n

        8. Code of conduct<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
        \n

        Each participant agrees to:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

        \n
          \n
        • Accept and comply with the Organizer\u2019s decisions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Respect other Participants;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Avoid using expressions that incite violence, discrimination, obscenity and\/or defamation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Avoid contents that are offensive, defamatory, vulgar; that violate privacy or are contrary to public decency and current legislation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Avoid advertising and\/or political\/ideological or religious content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Avoid infringing copyrights, trademarks or other reserved rights;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Comply with data protection regulations as well as the so-called Privacy Code – EU Regulation 2016\/679 (“GDPR”) as amended and\/or supplemented;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Comply with data protection regulations as well as the so-called Privacy Code – EU Regulation 2016\/679 (“GDPR”) as amended and\/or supplemented – Use with the utmost care and diligence, and throughout the duration of the event, any materials and equipment placed at their disposal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Avoid tampering with the registration process or the operation of the Initiative;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Avoid behaving in an inappropriate, unsportsmanlike manner that is contrary to the interest of the peaceful and proper conduct of the Initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
          \n

          9. Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
          \n

          During the in-person activities, each Participant will be solely responsible for the equipment and personal effects brought to the places where the initiative takes place. The Organizer cannot be held responsible in case of theft, loss, damage to a Participant’s equipment and\/or personal belongings.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          Each Participant is solely responsible for the content of his or her project, therefore no liability will be attributable, by third parties, to the Organizer, as well as their collaborators, with reference to the content of the project.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          Each Participant undertakes, as of now, to indemnify and hold the Organizer, as well as their collaborators, harmless against any claim, including compensation for damages, which may be made, for any reason whatsoever, in relation to the project submitted by the Participant.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          It also undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, as well as its collaborators, from any claim, including for damages, that may be made, for any reason whatsoever, in relation to the events occurring during the initiative.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          10. Intellectual Property<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
          \n

          The intellectual property of the final products developed during the Initiative shall remain the exclusive property of the Participant. All names, trademarks and other distinctive signs mentioned or reproduced on the website dedicated to the Contest shall remain in the sole and exclusive ownership of their authors. The authors also have the exclusive right to reproduce and\/or represent the work created. Unless otherwise authorized by the authors of the work, the reproduction and\/or representation of the work or parts thereof is prohibited to third parties.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          All data (including photographs and texts) made available to Participants, as well as to their potential collaborators, by the Organizer and\/or collected by the Organizer during the Initiative, shall remain the exclusive property of the Organizer. Each Participant undertakes to use such data in such a way that they remain distinct and divisible from the final products.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          The Participants acknowledge that any communication, dissemination and\/or publication of the projects presented as part of the Challenge via means and communication media that may be used for the promotion of the Challenge itself (even after its completion), involves the visibility of the projects presented to all Challenge Participants and to the community addressed by the communication actions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          The Organizer, as well as his\/her collaborators, assumes no responsibility in case of use and\/or misuse of the idea or work, and\/or its development and implementation of it, and\/or the project related to it, by anyone who may have become aware of it. Participants waive the right to make any claim for damages and\/or indemnity against the Organizers, as well as their collaborators, for any reason and\/or cause whatsoever.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          Participants are reminded that, in accordance with current regulations, with the public presentation of the project, the same loses the requirement of Novelty and therefore the possibility of being patented.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          11. Waiver to use images and publicizing the project proposals<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
          \n

          Each Participant consents and authorizes the Organizer, without any compensation being due in this regard, to acquire and record his\/her image and\/or voice, by means of photos or videos, during the Initiative also for promotional and advertising purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          This consent will also be valid as an express waiver that the images and videos, including those related to the project proposals, may be: displayed, reproduced in digital form, transmitted, published online on web pages and social networks, modified in any way (and in any case used within the framework of the Initiative and\/or for promotional and advertising purposes), with express waiver of any right of approval on the final version.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          12. General conditions<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
          \n

          The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend and\/or modify the Initiative, or any part thereof, in the event of technical failure, or any other factor unforeseeable or beyond its control.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n

          13. Reservation of rights<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
          \n

          The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify those who make bad use of the competition, carry out fraudulent acts or harm other competitors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

          \n
            \n
          • The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify or even withdraw prizes automatically and without having to give any explanation, from all those Participants who have benefited directly or indirectly from fraudulent actions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • The Organizer reserves the right to modify or add subsequent attachments and prizes to the Competition where justified and provided that they are not detrimental to the Participants, by duly informing them in advance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the initiative in case of events beyond its control, by notifying the Participants and without them being entitled to any right, compensation or reimbursment for the cancellation, modification or suspension;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any Participant who acts in violation of these Regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
            \n

            14. Confidentiality<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
            \n

            As part of the Initiative, Participants may become aware of “Confidential Information” and of strategic importance to the Organizer, with regard to which they accept and undertake to maintain the strictest confidentiality. In particular, Participants undertake to:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

            \n
              \n
            • keep strictly confidential and not disclose and\/or communicate to Third Parties, either in whole or in part, either in written or oral or graphic form or on magnetic media or in any other form, any “Confidential Information” transmitted by The Organizer, without The Organizer’s prior express written consent;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • not make use, in whole or in part, of any “Confidential Information” except exclusively and limitedly for purposes of participation in the Initiative;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • comply with the obligation of confidentiality from the date of receipt of each piece of information until it has legitimately become of public domain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
              \n

              Confidential Information will not be considered information that:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

              \n
                \n
              • is already in the public domain at the time of its communication, or which becomes public at a later date;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Is already known to the Participant at the time of participation in the Contest, the same being able to prove that such information was previously transmitted to him\/her by a third party legitimately entitled to do so, and not bound by an obligation of confidentiality relating to the use or communication of such information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • the Organizer has expressly authorized the disclosure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                15. Processing of personal data (Privacy Policy)<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of the EU Regulation 2016\/679 – GDPR, the organization informs that the Participants\u2019 data, collected during the registration and the subsequent stage of the Initiative, shall be processed solely for the purposes related to the Initiative.

                The Organizer, as an autonomous data controller, shall process the Participant’s personal data in order to enable his or her participation in the Initiative and to enable its implementation. Pursuant to Art. 6.1. b) GDPR the processing of personal data is in fact lawful when it is necessary for the purpose of executing a contract to which the data subject, in this case, the Participant, is a party. The Organizer shall also process Participant’s data to prevent any attempt of fraud or violation of the Regulation or the applicable law.

                The Organizer shall store the personal data in a form that allows the identification of the data subjects for a period of time necessary to achieve the specific purposes of the processing, in compliance with regulatory obligations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

                \n

                16. Disputes<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                Participation in the Contest implies the unreserved acceptance of these Rules and Regulations by the Participants. Any dispute, of any kind, relating to these Rules and Regulations or the Contest shall be decided at the discretion of the Organizer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

                \n

                The Organizer, as well as their collaborators, shall not grant any exclusive right to the Participant. The Participant, therefore, shall waive any right, claim or action based on the presence of one or more of its possible direct competitors among Participants in the Initiative.

                The Organizer shall be the sole and final arbiter for all matters relating to the application of the Rules, Code of Conduct and any exclusions from the competition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

                \n

                17. Controversies<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                Any controversy that may arise in relation to these Rules and Regulations or the Contest shall be referred to the decision of the competent authority at the Court of Udine, which has exclusive territorial jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

                \n

                18. Liability and indemnity<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                The Participant shall indemnify and hold the Organizer harmless, as well as any collaborators, from any damage, prejudice, loss, cost, expense (including legal expenses), or sanction that the Organizer may incur as a result of a claim or action by a third party based on the violation by the Participant of any of the conditions of these Rules and Regulations or on his\/her negligent or wilful conduct.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

                19. IT Security<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                The Participant undertakes to ensure that any IT tools used in the context of the Contest comply with the highest market safety standards and are equipped only and exclusively with original and duly licensed software components.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

                \n

                20. Acceptance of regulations<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
                \n

                Participation in the Challenge implies, on the part of each Participant, the full and unconditional acceptance of these Rules and Regulations. Should one or more of the provisions of these Rules and Regulations prove null or otherwise invalid or ineffective, in whole or in part, any other provision shall retain full force and effect in order to safeguard the general economy of these Rules and Regulations<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
